“I have always been drawn to artwork as a means
of transforming the ordinary
into something beautiful, something to be cherished --
from architectural salvage projects
to Czech glass button jewelry.
I create my art in celebration of Christ
and of the way He rescues us,
redeeming and transforming our lives into lives of joy and hope.
It is my hope that the redemptive beauty of these treasures
will bless those who see and wear them.”
Shannon Wright
has been producing art her entire life in one form
or another – beadwork, textiles, tinted photographs, and architectural rescue.
She studied Art History at the University of California in the
early 1980s, with
an emphasis on 20th-century American art and photography. Since moving to
Seattle in 1988, she has discovered more and more ways to share her unique
vision of redemption and beauty. She hopes you enjoy her “Happy
Stuff.”
